What We Did On Super Moon
I just had some spare time for a couple of days, so thought of coming up with a small comical. The most suitable topic that flashed my mind was the over hyped Super Moon that occurred last Saturday(19-03-2011). So i grabbed some photos, recorded a video of my friends dancing, wrote and recorded some dialogues and added some music to quickly make a 2d animation.
Its nothing great, but i thought it would be fun to relate a comical scenario to the very hyped super moon. Just for fun!

Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo
I got my hands on the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo a couple of weeks back. When i downloaded the demo, i was really sceptic about the game running properly on my PC, altough the benchmarks on Geforce showed it would do just fine. The reason was, Crysis is know to bring even the best GPUs to its knees and make them cry. When Crysis was released 4 years ago, i was forced to buy a new card just to play the game at a decent framerate. I bought a 8800GT which was a great performing card at a affordable price at that time. After Crysis warhead and now Crysis 2 whose full version is going to run on DirectX11 the visuals are only going to get better, hence more load on the GPU. But as Geforce had promised, the game ran just fine, proving my speculations wrong. Although i heard that the demo version uses only DirectX9
I played the game on both my PC with a Geforce 8800GT(on advanced settings) and my Dell Precision with a Quadro FX 880M(on gamer settings). And both played the game really well at 1280x720 at around 30-40fps. Although my laptop was playing fairly well on the advanced settings, i just didnt want to overheat it. I didn't test my 8800GT on hardcore settings, i was sure there would be a good frame drop and i didn't want to ruin the experience.
When you start the game you are given a brief intro on the demo. Then you are taken to the login screen where you asked to create an account and login. After you are logged in, you can search for servers running a game and join it and start playing. You may have to be patient for a while here since sometimes the servers are full, or empty with no other players. Find a server with 5-10 players logged in and you can start the game in a jiffy or enter an empty sever and wait for other players to join in, or create your own server and connect with known ips to start playing with friends
The demo has only 2 game modes and 2 two maps to choose from. One of the game modes is the "Team Instant Action" with 6x6 players, winner takes it all. The other one is the "Crash Site", which is more like capture and hold, where you have to do the same for the containers dropped by alien ships at random places. The maps provided are "Skyline", where you play at the rooftops of the building and "Pier 17", which is a more grounded location. The game provides an upgraded nanosuit with power-ups like Cloak to be invisible, Armour mode to take on damage, slide and shoot and the ground shock where you can cause damage over a wide area by stomping the ground while landing a jump.
The demo has been in news from the day of its release from the gameplay to server overloads. Even the demo donwload has been shutdown due to the heavy server overload and I have not been able to play the game for some time now. EA has assured to fix the issue soon.
Overall the game is really fun to play, with personal levels, upgrades and unlockables. I am sure the Crysis 2 single player campaign will be a huge fun along the multiplayer, with added game modes and maps in the full version with spectacular visuals supported by DirectX11. The game is going to be released on March 25th.
Till then Be Strong, Be Fast, Be Invisible,...............Be The Weapon.

The Turning Point - Screening
It was a fun evening, we got a great response for the movie and we enjoyed every bit of it. Its actually a 30min short movie. The movie is about two friends one of whom falls prey to smoking and drugs. The movie tries to show the deeper roots of such events and how it becomes the turning phase in both their lives. The movie has a great background score combined with some good narration, editing & effects. And i am sure you wont get bored at any point in the movie.
I hope you enjoyed a little brief up about the movie. Will be adding more pics from the movie. It wont be possible immediately, but we will make the movie online as soon as possible.
To see more pics(with descriptions) from the screening and to know more about the movie you can visit our facebook page The Turning Point - Short Movie
